# Commerce UX Polish

Tune shopping surfaces for clarity, trust, and speed. Use this skill when the interface needs to help users compare options, build confidence, and move toward purchase with less friction.

## Core Priorities

- reduce decision friction
- make price, offer, trust, and delivery status obvious
- keep CTA hierarchy stable across states and breakpoints
- preserve search, filter, and comparison context

## Surface Checks

For grids and listings:

- show image, title, rating or review volume, final price, and delivery or trust cues
- keep discount language honest and visually secondary to the final price
- make quick actions useful, not noisy

For PDPs:

- keep gallery, variant choice, stock, delivery, returns, and CTA in a tight scan path
- make sticky purchase behavior dependable on mobile
- keep financing, warranty, and offer details close to the action area

For cart and checkout:

- keep progress visible
- make fees and savings transparent
- let users edit line items without losing context
- reduce surprise near the point of payment

## Useful Resources

- Read `references/commerce-surface-patterns.md` for concrete marketplace checks.
- Use `../../assets/ui-review-template.md` when turning a critique into a rewrite plan.

## Guardrails

- Avoid fake urgency, dishonest slash pricing, or manipulative dark patterns.
- Avoid visual noise that gives every badge the same importance as the primary CTA.
- Avoid blocking overlays that interrupt filter comparison or cart review.
