1. Read [[Dao of Life Rituals and Liturgy]] for the service structure (the five-part
   regular-service run-of-show, or the relevant seasonal ritual's symbol/activity/theme)
   and [[Dao of Life Meetings]] for the 2026 service calendar, so the plan matches the
   actual date and ritual type rather than a generic one.

2. Check [[Dao of Life Members]] for who's tagged Role: Guide, to help the user assign
   who leads each of the five service elements (Opening, Reading/Teaching, Meditation,
   Sacred Action, Closing). Ask rather than guessing if availability is unclear.

3. Draft a prep checklist specific to the ritual type — e.g. seeds/soil/water for
   Planting, produce/baskets for Harvest, candles for Winter Reflection, tools/banners
   for Summer Justice (see the seasonal table in [[Dao of Life Rituals and Liturgy]]).

4. If a public flyer is wanted, draft copy following the existing flyer pattern: ritual
   name, date/location, one line on the theme, and the standard tagline "All are welcome
   • Bring a friend • Join us in service and fellowship."

5. Save the plan as its own note: `Dao of Life Service Plan YYYY-MM-DD.md`, tagged
   `#daooflife #serviceplan`, linked to `[[Dao of Life Meetings]]`, with sections:
   Service type, Date/location, Assigned roles, Prep checklist, Flyer copy (if drafted).

6. Add a link to the new note under the "Upcoming service plans" section in [[Dao of
   Life Meetings]].

7. Once the service actually happens, it should be logged as an actual event via the
   dao-of-life-ops skill — don't conflate the forward-looking plan with the
   after-the-fact log.
