### GFV Infrastructure Integration

**Credentials** — Never use `.env` files. All secrets live in macOS Keychain:
```bash
security find-generic-password -s "<service>" -a "<account>" -w
```
Check `~/Documents/Code/gfv-brain/scripts/pil_config.py` for service mappings.

**Data Sources** — Before querying external APIs, check PIL first:
- `search_pil` / `smart_search` / `vector_search` MCP tools (491K+ embeddings, 81K entities)
- Supabase tables: `entity_embeddings`, `ont_entities`, `ont_facts`
- Local SQLite: WhatsApp (59K msgs), Slack (2.5K msgs), `gfv_memory.db`

**Output** — Save results to `~/Documents/Code/gfv-brain/` or PIL via Supabase. Never send external messages (email, Slack, WhatsApp) without the Executive's explicit "send it" approval.

**Active Clients**:

# RequestHunt Skill

Generate user demand research reports by collecting and analyzing real user feedback from Reddit, X (Twitter), GitHub, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

## Prerequisites

Install the CLI and authenticate:
```bash
curl -fsSL https://requesthunt.com/cli | sh
requesthunt auth login
```

The CLI displays a verification code and opens `https://requesthunt.com/device` — the human must enter the code to approve. Verify with:
```bash
requesthunt config show
```
Expected output contains: `resolved_api_key:` with a masked key value (not `null`).

For headless/CI environments, use a manual API key instead:
```bash
requesthunt config set-key rh_live_your_key
```

Get your key from: https://requesthunt.com/dashboard

## Output Modes

Default output is TOON (Token-Oriented Object Notation) — structured and token-efficient.
Use `--json` for raw JSON or `--human` for table/key-value display.

## Platform Selection Guide

Each platform captures different types of user feedback. Choose platforms based on the product category to maximize signal quality.

### Platform Strengths

| Platform | Best For | Signal Type | Typical Yield |
|----------|----------|-------------|---------------|
| **YouTube** | Consumer products, hardware, lifestyle apps | Specific feature asks from review/tutorial comments | High (10-29 per topic) |
| **Reddit** | Developer tools, creator economy, niche communities | Deep technical discussions, long-tail needs | High for dev topics (up to 176) |
| **LinkedIn** | B2B software, healthcare, enterprise tools | Professional/industry opinions, market context | Low volume but high engagement |
| **X** | Trending topics, quick sentiment signals | Fragmented feedback, emotional reactions | Low-medium (1-6 per topic) |
| **GitHub** | Open-source tools, developer infrastructure | Concrete bugs and feature requests from issues | High for OSS, zero for non-tech |

### Recommended Platforms by Category

| Category | Primary | Secondary | Notes |
|----------|---------|-----------|-------|
| **Automotive / Hardware** | YouTube | Reddit | Video review comments are the richest source (dashcams: 29, EVs: 19) |
| **Gaming / Entertainment** | YouTube | Reddit | Game streams and reviews generate natural feedback |
| **Travel / Transportation** | YouTube | LinkedIn | Travel vlogs + LinkedIn for business travel needs |
| **Social / Communication** | YouTube | Reddit | App review videos + community discussions |
| **Food / Dining** | YouTube | Reddit | Recipe and delivery app review comments |
| **Real Estate / Home** | YouTube | X | Interior design and renovation videos dominate |
| **Education / Learning** | YouTube | — | Tutorial video comments are the only reliable source |
| **Health / Medical** | LinkedIn | X | Rare LinkedIn-dominant category (professional healthcare) |
| **Creator Economy** | Reddit | GitHub | Reddit communities overwhelmingly active (Newsletter: 176 requests) |
| **Developer Tools** | Reddit | GitHub | Technical communities + open-source issue trackers |
| **AI / SaaS Products** | Reddit | LinkedIn | Reddit for user complaints, LinkedIn for industry analysis |

### Quick Selection Rules

- **Consumer / hardware / lifestyle** → YouTube first, Reddit second
- **Developer / creator tools** → Reddit first, GitHub second
- **B2B / enterprise / medical** → LinkedIn first, X second
- **Has open-source projects** → add GitHub
- **Everything** → add X as a supplementary source

## Research Workflow

### Step 1: Define Scope

Before collecting data, clarify with the user:
1. **Research Goal**: What domain/area to investigate?
2. **Specific Products**: Any products/competitors to focus on?
3. **Platform Selection**: Use the guide above to pick 2-3 best platforms for the category
4. **Time Range**: How recent should the feedback be?
5. **Report Purpose**: Product planning / competitive analysis / market research?

### Step 2: Collect Data

Choose platforms strategically based on the category:

```bash
# Consumer hardware — YouTube-first strategy
requesthunt scrape start "smart home devices" --platforms youtube,reddit --depth 2
# Developer tools — Reddit-first strategy
requesthunt scrape start "code editors" --platforms reddit,github --depth 2
# B2B / enterprise — LinkedIn-first strategy
requesthunt scrape start "electronic health records" --platforms linkedin,x --depth 2
# Broad research — all platforms
requesthunt scrape start "AI coding assistants" --platforms reddit,x,github,youtube,linkedin --depth 2
# Search with expansion for more data
requesthunt search "dark mode" --expand --limit 50
# List requests filtered by topic
requesthunt list --topic "ai-tools" --limit 100
```

### Step 3: Generate Report

Analyze collected data and generate a structured Markdown report:

```markdown
# [Topic] User Demand Research Report
- Scope: ...
- Data Sources: Reddit (N), X (N), GitHub (N), YouTube (N), LinkedIn (N)
- Platform Strategy: [why these platforms were chosen for this category]
- Time Range: ...
### 1. Top Feature Requests
| Rank | Request | Platform | Votes | Representative Quote |
## When to Trigger
- When requested by the Executive.
- When the task aligns with the core competency of this skill.
## When to Skip
- When the data or answers already exist in the PIL memory bus.
- When the task requires physical intervention or manual approval before drafting.
## GFV Integration
**Credentials** — Never use `.env` files. All secrets live in macOS Keychain:
`security find-generic-password -s "<service>" -a "<account>" -w`
**Data Sources** — Before querying external APIs, check PIL first (`search_pil`, `gfv_memory.db`).
**Output** — Save results to `~/Documents/Code/gfv-brain/`. Never send external messages without the Executive`s explicit "send it" approval.
## Anti-Patterns
- **Summarizing instead of resolving**: Do not just summarize what needs to be done. Do the work.
- **Bypassing the Gate**: Do not execute risky actions without human-in-the-loop validation.
STOP AND VERIFY BEFORE DECLARING THIS TASK COMPLETE.
1. Did you verify that the execution meets all documented requirements safely?
2. Ensure you have not bypassed any "requires_human_approval" constraints.
