# Give MCP clients language-server code intelligence

Expose LSP-backed definition, reference, rename, and diagnostic tools to MCP clients so coding agents can inspect code semantics before editing.

## Prerequisites

MCP-capable client, Go toolchain, and a language server for the target programming language

## Installation

Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:
- git clone https://github.com/isaacphi/mcp-language-server.git

Requirements and caveats from upstream:

- You will need the language servers installed locally to run them. There are tests for go, rust, python, and typescript.
