# Give Rails coding agents live app context with rails-ai-context

Use rails-ai-context to expose a running Rails app's schema, routes, models, controllers, conventions, and test patterns through MCP tools so coding agents verify before editing.

## Prerequisites

rails-ai-context gem or CLI, Rails app, Ruby, compatible MCP host or coding assistant

## Installation

Install or set up from the source-backed instructions:

Add gem "rails-ai-context", group: :development and run rails generate rails_ai_context:install, or install standalone with gem install rails-ai-context, then run rails-ai-context init and rails-ai-context serve from the Rails app.
