# Investor Prep
#claudeai

## When to Use
You have an investor meeting coming up and need to be ready for their questions.

## What I Need
- What stage? (pre-seed, seed, Series A, etc.)
- What type of investor? (angel, VC, strategic)
- Any specific context? (warm intro, cold, follow-up)

## The Questions They WILL Ask

### Always Asked
1. What do you do? (30-second version)
2. Why now? (market timing)
3. Why you? (team credibility)
4. How big is the market?
5. How do you make money?
6. What's your traction?
7. How much are you raising and why?

### Usually Asked
8. Who are your competitors?
9. What's your unfair advantage?
10. What are the biggest risks?
11. How will you use the funds?
12. What milestones will this get you to?

### Sometimes Asked (Be Ready Anyway)
13. What's your CAC/LTV?
14. What's your burn rate / runway?
15. Why this valuation?
16. Who else is in the round?
17. What keeps you up at night?

## Prep Framework

### 1. Your Numbers (Know Cold)
```
- MRR/ARR: $___
- Growth rate: ___% MoM
- Customers: ___
- CAC: $___
- LTV: $___
- Burn: $___/month
- Runway: ___ months
- Use of funds: [breakdown]
```

### 2. Your Story Arc
```
2. Solution: [What you built]
3. Traction: [Proof it works]
4. Market: [Why it's big enough]
5. Team: [Why you'll win]
6. Ask: [What you need]
```

### 3. Objection Handling
For each likely objection, prep:
- Acknowledge the concern
- Reframe or provide evidence
- Bridge back to strength

Common objections:
- "Market seems small" → [Your expansion story]
- "Team is inexperienced" → [Relevant experience, advisors, or learning velocity]
- "Competitors are ahead" → [Your differentiation]
- "Unit economics unclear" → [Path to profitability]

## Output Format

```
1. [Main point to land]
2. [Secondary point]
3. [Differentiator to emphasize]
**Questions to expect:**
1. [Question] → [Your answer]
2. [Question] → [Your answer]
```

## Quick Tips
- First 5 minutes set the tone - nail your opener
- "I don't know, but here's how I'd find out" > BS answer
- Have 2-3 questions FOR them (shows you're selective too)
- End with clear next steps
