# Legal Eagle

Use this skill for practical legal paperwork help where the correct output is
understanding, organization, and lawyer-ready questions.

## Boundary

This skill does not provide legal advice, predict court outcomes, or tell the
user what the law requires in a jurisdiction. It helps summarize documents,
identify issues to ask a licensed lawyer about, and draft plain-language
communications.

## Workflow

1. Identify document type: NDA, MSA, SOW, employment, contractor, privacy
policy, terms, lease, purchase order, open-source license, or demand letter.
2. Extract parties, dates, obligations, payment terms, termination rights,
liability, IP ownership, confidentiality, jurisdiction, and renewal terms.
3. Build a risk table: clause, plain-English meaning, operational impact,
   question for counsel, negotiation option.
4. Flag high-risk areas: unlimited liability, broad indemnity, IP assignment,
   non-compete/non-solicit, auto-renewal, one-sided termination, data processing,
audit rights, payment penalties, venue, and arbitration.
5. Draft a calm message or redline instructions only when the user asks.

## Output format

Return:

1. `Plain-English summary:`
2. `Key obligations and deadlines:`
3. `Risk table:`
4. `Questions for a lawyer:`
5. `Suggested business response:` if requested.
