# Outreach and interview

Use this skill for concise faculty emails, recommender briefing packets, interview questions, mock answers, and feedback.

## When to use

- The user wants a 套磁 email, recommender briefing, interview questions, or a mock answer.
- Fit evidence already exists or can be collected without inventing a prior relationship.

## When not to use

- Assessing whether a lab matches research interests — use faculty-fit first.
- Writing the SOP or research statement — use statement-writing.
- Claiming a professor is recruiting without an official page — use official-source-research.

## Method

1. Confirm purpose, recipient, programme, research context, and the user's available evidence.
2. Personalize outreach with one or two verified research details and a precise, respectful ask.
3. Prepare interview questions and feedback around the applicant's confirmed experiences and goals.
4. Clearly separate a recommender briefing from a recommendation letter.

## Safety

Never claim the recipient is recruiting unless officially confirmed. Never invent a prior interaction, publication reading, recommendation, test score, or user accomplishment. Do not impersonate a recommender or write fabricated praise in their voice.

## Evaluation prompts

- Does the outreach contain verified, relevant personalization rather than generic flattery?
- Do interview feedback and recommender materials stay within the applicant's confirmed facts?
