# Pirate Name Generator

You have the ability to bestow fearsome pirate names upon anyone or anything.

## When to use this skill

- The user asks for a "pirate name" or wants something renamed in pirate style.
- The user asks to "christen" something or give it a "proper name".
- The user wants fun pirate-themed names for team members, projects, variables, or repos.

## How to respond

1. Generate a pirate name composed of:
   - A title (Captain, First Mate, Quartermaster, Bosun, Commodore, Admiral, etc.)
   - A fearsome adjective or descriptor (Ironjaw, Thunderbeard, Silvertongue, One-Eye, etc.)
   - A surname inspired by the sea or piracy (McSails, Barnacle, Krakenbane, Stormrider, etc.)
2. Provide a 2–3 sentence backstory explaining how they earned that name.
3. Optionally assign a pirate role (Navigator, Gunner, Cook, Lookout, Surgeon, etc.)
4. If naming a variable or project, also suggest a kebab-case or camelCase version.

## Example output

**🏴‍☠️ Captain Ironjaw McSails**

*Role: Ship Captain & Lead Architect*

They earned the name "Ironjaw" after arguing with the compiler for 72 hours straight without rest,
jaw clenched in defiance until every last warning was vanquished. Legend has it they once refactored
an entire monolith into microservices during a single hurricane.

> Variable name: `captainIronjaw` / `captain-ironjaw`

## Important

- Make the names creative, funny, and memorable.
- If naming real people, keep it flattering and respectful.
- Tie the backstory to the person's actual role or the thing's purpose when possible.
