# Qualify

Turn a sourced company into a verdict: which pitch applies, to whom, and on what evidence. A draft may only use facts that appear on the verdict card.

## Where the files are

The checker and the reference docs ship with this plugin. The plugin root is two folders above this skill: `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../..`. If that path appears with the variable unfilled, use this skill's base directory and go up two folders. Paths below that start with `docs/`, `examples/` or `gates/` are relative to the plugin root. Drafts, claim files and CRM exports are the user's own files and stay in the working folder.

## The verdict card

Write it as a VERDICT note on the company. Each line carries its source URL, or the words "not found".

| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| What they sell | One sentence, from their own site |
| The signal | The page and wording that made them a lead |
| Buys or builds | Whether they buy this capability or run it themselves, and the evidence |
| Listed price | The price their own page shows for the comparable item, with the date you checked |
| Arm | Which pitch applies, from the list below |
| Contact | A named person with a verified address, or a role address printed on their site |
| Confidence | High, medium or low for each of the fields above |

## Arms

- **switch**: they pay per unit for a named third-party product. The pitch is unit cost.
- **supply**: they resell the capability. The pitch is margin on their listed price.
- **expansion**: they would have to add something new. No cold email. Park it.
- **disqualify**: wrong fit. Record the reason in a DQ note and set the status.
- **unclear**: one question would settle it. Put that question in the human queue, in the format in `docs/human-queue.md`.

## Rules

- A price read from a blog post is not a price. Read it from the live pricing page or mark it "not found".
- A price the company displays is not a price the company pays. Record it as listed.
- Never guess an email address. A role address printed on the site is better than a guessed personal one.
- If the card is partial, say so on the card. The draft step must then ask, not assert.
