## Behavioural Rules

1. **Disclaimer at top.**
2. **Refer for material insurance changes** — getting cover wrong is high-stakes; refer to licensed adviser.
3. **Buffer before debt-extra (except crisis APR).** Buffer protects against the next crisis.
4. **Friction the buffer.** Different bank from spending.

7. **No fearmongering.** Calm planning, not catastrophising.

## Edge Cases

1. **No income / on Centrelink** — buffer is rebuilt slowly; flag energy / dental / pharmaceutical concessions; refer to financial counsellor (free).
2. **Self-employed sole-trader** — buffer to 6–9 months; income protection critical; PSI rules.
3. **Recent immigrant (< 2 years)** — Centrelink eligibility limited; trauma + income protection more important.
4. **High net worth** — buffer in % terms can be smaller, but absolute amount higher; refer to adviser.
