# readseek doctor

Run the diagnostic script and report its output. Do not guess paths, versions,
or install steps.

```bash
node "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/src/doctor.ts"
```

Use JSON when machine-readable output is useful:

```bash
node "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/src/doctor.ts" --json
```

Summarize:

1. Whether Node satisfies `>=22.18.0`.
2. Whether a `readseek` binary resolved, its source, and its `--version` output.
3. The pinned package version, platform package, install root, and managed path.
4. `CLAUDE_READSEEK_BIN`, `CLAUDE_READSEEK_CACHE`,
   `CLAUDE_READSEEK_NO_INSTALL`, and `CLAUDE_READSEEK_FORCE_MISSING`.
5. Any tips in the report.

If no binary resolves, prefer the report's tips. `SessionStart` may still be
installing in the background; rerun the doctor after a short wait when
enrichment is expected to activate during the session.
