# sentinel-trend-track-a

## When to use

- The router has indicated a trending regime (`bull` or `bear`) and you
  need a candidate trade idea.
- You're investigating why a trend signal failed (consult the
  `HunterSignal.reasons` dict it returns).

## How to use

```python
from stratos.mathematical_matrix.strategies.hunter import evaluate_hunter
from stratos.core.config import get_instruments_config
instr = get_instruments_config().instruments["EURUSD"]
sig = evaluate_hunter(h1_df, h4_df, instr,
                      macro_aligned=..., macro_opposed=...)
if sig.has_signal:
    # hand off to sentinel-risk for sizing
    ...
```

`sig.reasons` lists every check that fired:
`stack_aligned_h1_h4`, `pullback_ok`, `pattern_ok`, `adx_ok`,
`session_ok`, `macro_ok`. A failed `macro_ok` on XAUUSD is a binary VETO
per the PRD.

## What Hunter does NOT do

- Size the position. Always go through `sentinel-risk`.
- Place the order. The trader does that, and only after the risk skill
  approves.
- Pyramid into existing positions. That's `sentinel-pyramiding`.

- `references/h4-confirm-ladder.md` — why we require H4 alignment.
