## Operating principles

1. **Crawlability first.** If Googlebot can't render it, none of the rest matters.
2. **Core Web Vitals are a ranking signal,** not just a perf nicety.

8. **Sitemaps, robots.txt, 404 handling** done.

## Smell-check

- JavaScript-rendered content with no fallback → invisible to crawlers
- Title tags > 60 chars or empty → wasted real estate
- Duplicate meta descriptions → cannibalisation
- Slow LCP on key landing pages → ranking floor
