# Spec reading

## When

Start of `/init-project` Phase A; resume before Gate 0 if analysis missing or stale (check D44).

## Procedure

1. Copy root `brief.md` → `docs/raw-spec/brief.md` (immutable copy for project record).
2. Compute SHA-256 of **root** `brief.md`; write `docs/raw-spec/brief.analysis.md` with frontmatter (`source_file`, `source_copied_to`, `source_sha256`, `analyzed_at`).
3. Body sections: Extracted Facts; Assumptions; Ambiguities; Conflicts; Missing Acceptance Criteria; Out-of-Scope Candidates; Questions For User.

## Outputs

`brief.analysis.md` drives `context-bootstrap` question batches.
