# Story Idea Generator

Create short, distinct story premises for student writing or teacher planning.

## When to use

- A teacher needs several writing prompts for students.
- A learner wants a child-safe premise with a clear conflict or question.
- A lesson planner wants ideas constrained by genre, setting, or cast size.

## Inputs

- `genre`: optional, 1-80 characters.
- `num_characters`: optional integer from 1 through 10.
- `setting_keywords`: optional, 1-240 characters.
- `num_ideas`: integer from 1 through 10.
- `age_band`: `5-7`, `8-10`, or `11-13`.

## Workflow

1. **Validate:** Reject unknown fields, unsafe control characters, and out-of-range values before a provider call.
2. **Draft:** Generate the requested number of distinct, original premises that honor the supplied constraints.
3. **Bound:** Keep each idea to a title and 2-4 sentences with a clear hook, conflict, or open question.
4. **Safety check:** Remove age-inappropriate content and avoid copyrighted characters, franchises, or close plot imitation.
5. **Verify and return:** Confirm count, distinctness, constraint coverage, and the output schema.

## Output contract

Return one JSON object with `run_id`, `status`, `workflow_version`, `ideas`,
`constraints_used`, and measured `usage`. Each idea has `title`, `premise`, and
`writing_hook`.

## Hard rules
