# Strata Verification Gates

No behavior claim is accepted without concrete verification.

## Gate 0: Worktree

- clean or accounted-for dirty state
- lane claim recorded
- changed files known
- unknown edits preserved

## Gate 1: Lane

Run lane-local tests or validators. Examples:

- kernel unit tests
- content schema validation
- asset manifest validation
- research prerequisite checks
- world accounting invariants

## Gate 2: Shared Contracts

Required for shared primitives:

- serialization compatibility
- content ID stability
- snapshot round trips
- replay determinism
- migration checks

## Gate 3: Integrator

Integrator runs full gates:

- replay/hash harness
- save/load fixtures
- cross-lane scenarios
- benchmarks with thresholds
- schema and content validation

## Gate 4: Visual/UX

Renderer, UI, asset, and tool work requires artifacts:

- screenshots or videos
- blank-frame checks
- overlap/clipping checks
- pawn-count target
- Z-level toggle proof
- inspect-by-ID flow
- visual manifest

## Reporting

Report commands, results, artifacts, residual risk, and unrun checks. Do not say "works" when only compilation was checked.
