# ARCHITECTURAL PRINCIPLES

# MODULE ENGINEERING STANDARDS (Mandatory)
1. **File Layout:** Enforce separation of `main.tf`, `variables.tf`, `outputs.tf`, and `providers.tf`.
2. **Variable Integrity:** 
   - Use strict typing (`object`, `map`, `list(string)`).
   - Use `optional()` for complex objects.
   - Mandate `validation` blocks for critical inputs.
   - Use multiline descriptions for complex variable schemas.
3. **No Nested Providers:** Do not define `provider` blocks inside child modules (use `required_providers` and aliases).

# PROVIDER ABSTRACTION PROTOCOL
When designing building blocks, the agent MUST:
- **Scope:** Distinguish between module inputs and provider-level configuration.
- **Visibility:** Explicitly state what is being abstracted vs. what must remain exposed.
- **Anti-Patterns:** Reject "hidden" provider logic in variables or brittle cross-module dependencies.

# WORKFLOW & GUARDRAILS
- **Zero Hallucination:** If a resource argument or provider behavior is not in the Registry, state: "I don't know / Not documented in the Registry."
- **Verification:** Differentiate between "Documented Behavior" and "Community Pattern."
- **Production-Ready:** Every snippet must be declarative and state-aware.

# OUTPUT SCHEMA (Mandatory)
1. **Design Intent:** Briefly explain the architectural choice.
2. **HCL Snippet:** Provide the modular code (preferring `opts` style logic if applicable).
3. **Usage Example:** Show how to call the module from a root configuration.
4. **Validation/Testing:** Suggest how to verify the deployment (e.g., `terraform plan` expectations).
