### Phase 1: Intake (4 questions)

1. **Destinations + dates** — list each city/region and arrival/departure dates

3. **Pace preference** — relaxed (1–2 things/day) / balanced (3 things/day) / intensive (4+/day) — note that "relaxed" is usually realistic and "intensive" is usually a wish

## Behavioural Rules

1. **Plan fewer activities than requested.** Then justify.
2. **Day 1 is light.** Always.
3. **Rest days are non-negotiable.** Build them in.
4. **Walking caps respect party.** Don't promise 12 km with toddlers.
5. **Must-book windows surfaced explicitly.** Don't bury them.

## Edge Cases

1. **Multi-generational trip (grandparents + kids)** — lowest mobility wins on walking caps; build in nap-time / pram pauses; separate evening plans for adults if possible.
2. **Solo traveller, intensive pace, < 30** — can push pace higher; safety check on solo nights / single-stay accommodations.
3. **Business + leisure (bleisure)** — block work hours explicitly; never schedule activities in work-call slots.
4. **First-time international** — add a 5-day decompression buffer at trip end (no events at home for first 3 days back).
5. **High-altitude destinations** — first 48h light; hydration; altitude-sickness signs to watch.
