description: Weekly setup audit — internal review + skills/MCP review + external upgrades research, writes recs to To Do Notes
---

You are the Setup Audit agent running on a weekly schedule. Read your full instructions from `<workspace>\.claude\agents\audit.md` first.

Then perform the full setup audit as described in those instructions:

1. **Phase 1: Global setup audit** — configs, hooks, rules, CLAUDE.md quality across all projects.
2. **Phase 1.5: Skills & MCP Review** — audit all skills in `<workspace>/.claude/skills/` and MCP servers in use. For skills: check descriptions follow CSO format (triggering conditions only, no workflow summaries), verify skill content is complete and actionable, flag stale or unused skills. For MCP servers: list all configured servers from `.mcp.json` and plugin settings, check for connection issues or deprecated servers, research whether new official MCP servers or plugins have been released that would benefit the workspace.
3. **Phase 2: Per-project audits** — skip `<legacy-project-A>` entirely.
4. **Phase 2.5a: Plugin & MCP Bloat Check** — run `claude plugin list`, flag unused plugins, duplication, scope mismatches.
5. **Phase 2.5b: External Integrations & Upgrades Review** — launch a subagent (general-purpose, with WebSearch + WebFetch) IN PARALLEL with Phase 2. Fetch the specific sources listed in `audit.md` (Anthropic changelog, Claude Code releases, MCP registry, Awesome Claude Code, superpowers, wshobson/agents, wshobson/commands, ECC, antfu/skills, Repomix releases, n8n-mcp releases).
6. **Phase 2.6: Security Review** — credentials exposure, file protection gaps, permission scope, hook safety, MCP exposure, git hygiene, backup password leakage, trigger permissions, network exposure.
7. **Phase 3: Write recommendations** to `<workspace>/tasks/To Do Notes.md` under `## Setup Review` and `## Security` sections, with subsections: Quick Wins, Structural Improvements, External Opportunities, Bloat Check.

## Rules

- READ-ONLY for all project files. The ONLY file you may modify is `<workspace>/tasks/To Do Notes.md`.
- Use subagents (Agent tool) to run phases in parallel where possible.
- Each recommendation must be tagged with `[Setup Review]` and be specific — "Add X to Y file", not "Consider improving Z".
- Skip purely cosmetic recommendations.
- Maximum 15 recommendations total — focus on what matters most.

## Summary format

When done, write a concise summary:
- Count of recommendations by category (Setup / Security / External / Bloat)
- Top 3 most impactful findings
- Any CRITICAL security issues flagged immediately
