App Verification

Category: Engineering  ·  Sub-category: architecture  ·  Last updated:
Builds and maintains a product's own verification harness inside its repo, a verify CLI, a doctor command, per-worktree isolation, a feature map written from the user's point of view, seed data, and a reproduce-first bug handoff. Use when asked to "build a verification harness", "add a doctor command", "give agents a way to verify this app", "prove every feature still works", or "reproduce this bug report". For one-off browser probes against a fixed UI rule catalogue use ui-verification; for repo-wide module boundaries and lint guardrails use codebase-architecture.

From the source SKILL.md

Builds, inside a product's own repository, the harness every agent uses to run that product and prove a claim about it: a verify CLI, a doctor command, an isolated instance per worktree, a feature map written from the user's point of view, seed data and test accounts, and a reproduce-first bug handoff. The harness lives in the target repo, not in this skill; this skill is what scaffolds and then maintains it, so every agent that opens that repo runs the app the same way instead of writing a throwaway script each session.

What this skill does

App Verification is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the architecture sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/app-verification/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

When to invoke it: Use when asked to "build a verification harness", "add a doctor command", "give agents a way to verify this app", "prove every feature still works", or "reproduce this bug report". For one-off browser probes against a fixed UI rule catalogue use ui-verification; for repo-wide module boundaries and lint guardrails use codebase-architecture.

Who uses this skill

The App Verification Claude Code skill is built for software engineers, backend developers, full-stack teams, and technical leads building and maintaining production systems. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 196,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
