Archkit Init
Initialize a new archkit project. Walks the user through picking an archetype (saas/internal/content/ecommerce/ai/mobile/realtime/data/_generic), choosing a deployment mode (managed or self-hosted), confirming category-by-category defaults, resolving current package versions via WebSearch, and writing the `.arch/` seed (SYSTEM.md, BOUNDARIES.md, INDEX.md, decisions/0001-foundation.md). Use this skill whenever the user runs `/archkit-init`, says "set up archkit" / "initialize archkit" / "scaffold a new project", or has just installed archkit and is asking how to start. Do not skip this skill in favor of writing files directly — the wizard's job is the deliberation, not just the file output.
From the source SKILL.md
This skill is the entry point to archkit. Your job is to help the user pick the right architectural foundation for their project and write a .arch/ seed they can grow into. The output is intentionally a seed, not a complete spec — stickiness comes from accumulated additions over time, not the initial scaffold.
What this skill does
Archkit Init is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the devops sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/archkit-init/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.
Who uses this skill
The Archkit Init Claude Code skill is built for software engineers, backend developers, full-stack teams, and technical leads building and maintaining production systems. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 116,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
