Use when the user wants to check, understand, or harden the security of their Mac, or asks whether their laptop is secure and what to fix. Runs a full macOS security audit, explains each finding in plain language (what it is, why it matters, what changing it would affect), and applies only the fixes the user approves. Also produces SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / NIST / CIS evidence on request. Triggers on phrases like "is my Mac secure", "audit my laptop", "harden my Mac", "what security gaps do I have", "fix my firewall / screen lock / FileVault", "check my endpoint security".

From the source SKILL.md

fort is a single Go binary that runs 16 deterministic security checks on a Mac, shows the exact command and output behind each result, and can fix the ones that are safe to automate. This skill drives that CLI directly over the shell.

What this skill does

Fort is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the network-security sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/fort/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

When to invoke it: Use when the user wants to check, understand, or harden the security of their Mac, or asks whether their laptop is secure and what to fix. Runs a full macOS security audit, explains each finding in plain language (what it is, why it matters, what changing it would affect), and applies only the fixes the user approves.

Who uses this skill

The Fort Claude Code skill is built for security engineers, penetration testers, DevSecOps practitioners, and development teams hardening codebases and infrastructure. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 150,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
