Livespec Orchestrate
Layer 3 cross-repo orchestration driver for the livespec family (invoked as /livespec-orchestrate). Composes /livespec:next and the active impl-plugin's next; dispatches sub-agents (each working in its own self-managed secondary worktree, NOT the harness isolation mechanism) into livespec, livespec-impl-*, livespec-dev-tooling, and livespec-runtime; reaps merged worktrees via `just reap-stale-worktrees`; runs `just check` + /livespec:doctor as a hard gate; emits a structured iteration journal; halts on architectural ambiguity, broken state, destructive ops, phase boundaries (default; can be pre-authorized), or (defensive) context-budget exhaustion. Per `SPECIFICATION/spec.md` §"Three-layer orchestration architecture" and §"Layer 3 loop driver — required shape and discipline" in non-functional-requirements.md, this skill is the SINGLE Layer 3 driver across the livespec family — impl-plugin repos do NOT carry their own. The directory name carries a `livespec-` visual prefix to disambiguate from the harness's built-in `/loop` skill (recurring-task scheduler); project-local skills have no real namespace mechanism, so the prefix is a convention, not enforcement.
From the source SKILL.md
This skill is livespec's resident Layer 3 loop driver per SPECIFICATION/spec.md §"Three-layer orchestration architecture" → "Layer 3 — Cross-repo orchestration (livespec-resident)" and SPECIFICATION/non-functional-requirements.md §"Layer 3 loop driver — required shape and discipline". It is the single Layer 3 driver across the livespec family of repos:
What this skill does
Livespec Orchestrate is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the architecture sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/livespec-orchestrate/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.
Who uses this skill
The Livespec Orchestrate Claude Code skill is built for software engineers, backend developers, full-stack teams, and technical leads building and maintaining production systems. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 116,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).

Yes. ClaudSkills is an open registry — every skill keeps its source repository's license, and manual install via copy is free. ClaudSkills Pro ($9/mo, $79/yr, or $149 one-time) adds one-click install via the desktop app and a multi-signal Quality Score.
When should I use the Livespec Orchestrate skill?
Use Livespec Orchestrate when your Claude Code task falls under the Engineering category — specifically in the architecture area. Claude Code auto-discovers installed skills and invokes the right one based on the task description, so you can also ask Claude directly (e.g. "use Livespec Orchestrate" or describe the task and let Claude pick). What is a Claude Code skill and how does the Livespec Orchestrate skill fit in?
A Claude Code skill is a
SKILL.md file that lives under
~/.claude/skills/<name>/ and tells the Claude Code CLI agent how to perform a specific task (instructions, prompts, allowed tools). Skills are auto-discovered at session start. Livespec Orchestrate is one of 67,000+ skills indexed in the open ClaudSkills catalog, classified under the Engineering category. Learn more at
