Physics Manikin Fitting
Fit a physics manikin (a capsule rigid body per body part, joined by limited joints) onto a rigged character. The procedure takes nothing from bone names and nothing from a vendor — it has been exercised on Mixamo-compatible humanoids, and carries an explicit path (role mapping, topology inference) for rigs that are neither. MANDATORY before pointing a ragdoll at a new model, adding a character to an existing ragdoll, writing or editing a segment/bone table, changing a capsule's radius, length or centre, or debugging a collider that is missing, oversized, or sitting somewhere the mesh is not. Enforces: map ROLES not names, index the rig as bones AND nodes, take shape from the MESH (a bone is an axis, not an outline), express fits relative to the rig (never in absolute metres), and validate the mapping before believing a single body. Trigger on: "ragdoll on a new character", "the collider is on the neck", "the head has no collider", "capsule is huge / too wide", "non-Mixamo rig", "our own rig", "custom skeleton", "bone names don't match", "fit the collider to the mesh", "подогнать манекен под модель", "риг не миксамо", "коллайдер не на месте".

From the source SKILL.md
A physics manikin is a small set of rigid bodies — one capsule per body part — tied together by limited joints and driven from (or driving) a skinned skeleton. Building one means answering three questions that people routinely answer as if they were one:
What this skill does
Physics Manikin Fitting is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the physics sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/physics-manikin-fitting/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.
Who uses this skill
The Physics Manikin Fitting Claude Code skill is built for researchers, data scientists, academics, and analysts working with complex data and scientific literature. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 196,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).

Is this skill free to install?
Yes. ClaudSkills is an open registry — every skill keeps its source repository's license, and manual install via copy is free. ClaudSkills Pro ($9/mo, $79/yr, or $149 one-time) adds one-click install via the desktop app and a multi-signal Quality Score.
When should I use the Physics Manikin Fitting skill?
Use Physics Manikin Fitting when your Claude Code task falls under the Science & Research category — specifically in the physics area. Claude Code auto-discovers installed skills and invokes the right one based on the task description, so you can also ask Claude directly (e.g. "use Physics Manikin Fitting" or describe the task and let Claude pick). What is a Claude Code skill and how does the Physics Manikin Fitting skill fit in?
A Claude Code skill is a
SKILL.md file that lives under
~/.claude/skills/<name>/ and tells the Claude Code CLI agent how to perform a specific task (instructions, prompts, allowed tools). Skills are auto-discovered at session start. Physics Manikin Fitting is one of 67,000+ skills indexed in the open ClaudSkills catalog, classified under the Science & Research category. Learn more at
