Plan Repl HTML

Category: Science & Research  ·  Sub-category: science-misc  ·  Last updated:
Experimental HTML variant of `plan-repl`. Same research → plan → annotate → implement workflow, but each phase produces an interactive HTML page instead of a markdown file — with an in-browser annotation widget that exports notes back to a JSON file Claude reads on the next turn. Use this skill whenever the user explicitly asks for the HTML version of plan-repl, wants to prototype or evaluate the HTML output format, says things like "let's try the HTML plan thing", "use plan-repl-html", "render the plan as HTML", "I want the experimental HTML workflow", "do the plan thing but in HTML", "annotate this in the browser instead of in markdown", or references Thariq's "HTML is the new markdown" post in the context of planning. Do NOT auto-suggest this for general planning tasks — `plan-repl` is the default; `plan-repl-html` is an opt-in experiment. Trigger only when the user has explicitly asked for the HTML variant.

From the source SKILL.md

A prototype variant of plan-repl. Same five phases (research, plan, annotation cycle, task breakdown, implementation), but each phase produces an HTML page with an interactive annotation widget. Each task folder also contains a sibling .repl-assets/ directory holding the shared stylesheet and widget JS (one snapshot per task). The goal is to evaluate whether HTML output unlocks meaningfully better review affordances — timelines, diagrams, severity tags, collapsible sections, in-page navigation, exportable structured annotations — compared to the markdown flow.

What this skill does

Plan Repl HTML is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the science-misc sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/plan-repl-html/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

Who uses this skill

The Plan Repl HTML Claude Code skill is built for researchers, data scientists, academics, and analysts working with complex data and scientific literature. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 196,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
