Rctd Py

Category: Content  ·  Sub-category: content-misc  ·  Last updated:
lang:python
GPU-accelerated Python RCTD cell type deconvolution for spatial transcriptomics (Visium, VisiumHD, Xenium, MERFISH, Slide-seq). Use when running rctd-py, when a Python alternative to R spacexr is needed, when deconvolving spatial data on GPU, when preparing h5ad references from Seurat/scanpy/CELLxGENE, or when integrating rctd-py results back into a Seurat/AnnData workflow. Covers the CLI (`rctd run`, `rctd validate`, `rctd info`), the Python API (`run_rctd`, `Reference`, `RCTDConfig`), all three modes (doublet / multi / full), GPU dtype selection, per-arch eigh tuning, and result interpretation. Triggers on "rctd-py", "python rctd", "GPU RCTD", "spacexr python", "h5ad deconvolution", "spatial cell type deconvolution python", "convert spacexr reference to h5ad".

From the source SKILL.md

Python reimplementation of RCTD (Cable et al., Nature Biotechnology 2022) with PyTorch GPU acceleration. ~4-41× faster than R spacexr with >99% cell-type-call concordance on identical pixel sets. Pure GPU implementation -- no R runtime required.

What this skill does

Rctd Py is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the content-misc sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/rctd-py/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

When to invoke it: Use when running rctd-py, when a Python alternative to R spacexr is needed, when deconvolving spatial data on GPU, when preparing h5ad references from Seurat/scanpy/CELLxGENE, or when integrating rctd-py results back into a Seurat/AnnData workflow. Covers the CLI (`rctd run`, `rctd validate`, `rctd info`), the Python API (`run_rctd`, `Reference`, `RCTDConfig`), all three modes (doublet / multi / full), GPU dtype selection, per-arch eigh tuning, and result interpretation.

Who uses this skill

The Rctd Py Claude Code skill is built for content creators, marketers, copywriters, SEO professionals, and editorial teams. Is this skill free to install?
Yes. ClaudSkills is an open registry — every skill keeps its source repository's license, and manual install via copy is free. ClaudSkills Pro ($9/mo, $79/yr, or $149 one-time) adds one-click install via the desktop app and a multi-signal Quality Score.
When should I use the Rctd Py skill?
Use Rctd Py when your Claude Code task falls under the Content category — specifically in the content misc area. Claude Code auto-discovers installed skills and invokes the right one based on the task description, so you can also ask Claude directly (e.g. "use Rctd Py" or describe the task and let Claude pick). Browse related skills at /category/content/.
What is a Claude Code skill and how does the Rctd Py skill fit in?
A Claude Code skill is a SKILL.md file that lives under ~/.claude/skills/<name>/ and tells the Claude Code CLI agent how to perform a specific task (instructions, prompts, allowed tools). Skills are auto-discovered at session start. Rctd Py is one of 67,000+ skills indexed in the open ClaudSkills catalog, classified under the Content category.
