Release Engineering And Incident Response
Reference for reducing deployment risk (canary releases, feature flags, rollback strategy) and for the human factors of incident response — the psychological realities of being on-call during an outage, and antifragile systems/team design that gets stronger from stress rather than merely surviving it. Use this whenever the user is designing a release process, setting up feature flags or canary deployments, writing runbooks or on-call procedures, or thinking about how to make a system or team more resilient to failure rather than just recover from it.

From the source SKILL.md
Two halves of the same concern: release engineering reduces how often and how badly things break; incident response determines how well the team handles it when they do anyway. Neither replaces the other — a perfect release process still eventually meets an unanticipated failure, and good incident response can't fully compensate for a release process that ships broken code routinely.
What this skill does
Release Engineering And Incident Response is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the devops sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/release-engineering-and-incident-response/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.
Who uses this skill
The Release Engineering And Incident Response Claude Code skill is built for software engineers, backend developers, full-stack teams, and technical leads building and maintaining production systems. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 169,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
