Release Loop
Use to drive the deployed end-to-end validation outer loop — deploy the integrated whole to an ephemeral environment, run e2e, observe telemetry, feed deployed findings back to work-loop's inner loop, redeploy, and iterate until the deployed whole converges, then stop at the human consent gate for the prod ship. Run by the release-lead agent (a peer of work-loop's supervisor, not a work-loop mode). Triggers on "run the release loop", "deploy the integrated whole and iterate", "ship it to an ephemeral env and run e2e", "iterate the deployed env until it converges", "take this to a prod-ship readiness record". Autonomy is carved by minimum-regret — reversible ⇒ autonomous on ephemeral envs; irreversible ⇒ human. No engine. Do NOT use for the inner local build loop (use work-loop), to author a fidelity-ladder / local-infra-equivalents skill (that is the inner-loop obligation), or to run the live product as a managed service (adopter ops).

From the source SKILL.md
This is the outer loop of the operating model — the SRE/ops loop that sits above work-loop's inner build loop. work-loop makes the software run and verify locally; the release loop takes the integrated whole the rest of the way: deploy it to an ephemeral environment, run e2e, observe telemetry, feed the deployed findings back to the inner loop, redeploy, and iterate until the deployed whole converges — then stop at the human consent gate for the prod ship (G5), which it surfaces as a release-readiness record to ratify, not a bare go/no-go.
What this skill does
Release Loop is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the engineering-misc sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/release-loop/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.
Who uses this skill
The Release Loop Claude Code skill is built for software engineers, backend developers, full-stack teams, and technical leads building and maintaining production systems. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 196,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
How to install
Free
Manual install (2 steps)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/release-loop
curl -L https://claudskills.com/skills/release-loop/SKILL.md \
-o ~/.claude/skills/release-loop/SKILL.md
Or just download SKILL.md directly and drop it into ~/.claude/skills/release-loop/. Claude Code auto-discovers it on next session.
Skills live at ~/.claude/skills/release-loop/SKILL.md on macOS/Linux, or %USERPROFILE%\.claude\skills\release-loop\SKILL.md on Windows. See the full install guide for step-by-step instructions.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install the Release Loop Claude Code skill?
Install via the ClaudSkills desktop app (one click) or copy
SKILL.md from the source repository to
~/.claude/skills/release-loop/SKILL.md and restart Claude Code. Both flows are detailed at
claudskills.com/install/.

Is this skill free to install?
Yes. ClaudSkills is an open registry — every skill keeps its source repository's license, and manual install via copy is free. ClaudSkills Pro ($9/mo, $79/yr, or $149 one-time) adds one-click install via the desktop app and a multi-signal Quality Score.
When should I use the Release Loop skill?
Use Release Loop when your Claude Code task falls under the Engineering category — specifically in the engineering misc area. Claude Code auto-discovers installed skills and invokes the right one based on the task description, so you can also ask Claude directly (e.g. "use Release Loop" or describe the task and let Claude pick). Browse related skills at
/category/engineering/.
What is a Claude Code skill and how does the Release Loop skill fit in?
A Claude Code skill is a
SKILL.md file that lives under
~/.claude/skills/<name>/ and tells the Claude Code CLI agent how to perform a specific task (instructions, prompts, allowed tools). Skills are auto-discovered at session start. Release Loop is one of 67,000+ skills indexed in the open ClaudSkills catalog, classified under the Engineering category. Learn more at
