Sharing Specs

Category: Content  ·  Sub-category: content-misc  ·  Last updated:
type:review
Share `.mdl` specs with the team as a Claude Artifact page: Composer's spec viewer (the spec editor with inline plugin-illustrator diagrams beside its decision graph), one tab per spec, that teammates open in claude.ai and comment on. Use when asked to share, publish, show or circulate a spec or design for review, to make a spec "pretty" or commentable, to put a storybook story in an artifact, or to update or answer comments on a spec artifact made this way. Builds a narrowed static storybook, packages it with `scripts/package.py`, checks it with `scripts/check.cjs`, and publishes it with the Artifact tool — no Worker, no preview environment. A spec edit republishes on its own with `scripts/update_specs.py`, without a rebuild.

From the source SKILL.md

The deliverable is one Claude Artifact that renders plugin-code's SpecChangelog view: the spec in the read-only spec editor on the left, its ## Changelog decision graph on the right, and every `diagram fence drawn in place (its source reappears while the cursor is inside it). Tabs at the top switch between specs. Teammates comment on any line in claude.ai, and comments sent to Claude arrive in the session that published it.

What this skill does

Sharing Specs is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the content-misc sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/sharing-specs/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

When to invoke it: Use when asked to share, publish, show or circulate a spec or design for review, to make a spec "pretty" or commentable, to put a storybook story in an artifact, or to update or answer comments on a spec artifact made this way. Builds a narrowed static storybook, packages it with `scripts/package.
