From the source SKILL.md

Standard work is the current best-known way to do a repeatable task, written down so anyone trained to it gets the same result. The lineage runs through Toyota's standardized work (takt, sequence, standard in-process stock) and the WWII-era Training Within Industry (TWI) programs whose Job Instruction breakdown — steps and key points, with the reasons column added as the format matured — is still the most teachable SOP format there is.

What this skill does

Standard Work is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the general-misc sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/standard-work/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

When to invoke it: Use when documenting, standardizing, or stabilizing a process that varies by who does it, capturing tribal knowledge, or writing an SOP or work instruction people will follow. Triggers: standard work, standardized work, SOP, standard operating procedure, work instruction, standardize a process, visual management, TWI, job instruction, job breakdown, takt time, everyone does it differently, tribal knowledge.
