From the source SKILL.md

A journey map shows the experience from the user's side — the steps they take, and how good or bad each one feels — so friction becomes visible. This skill turns a described experience into a Mermaid journey diagram (phases → tasks with satisfaction scores) and then calls out where the experience breaks down and what to fix.

What this skill does

User Journey Map is a community-contributed Claude Code skill in the ux-research sub-category. It ships as a SKILL.md file that Claude Code auto-discovers under ~/.claude/skills/user-journey-map/ and loads when your prompt matches the skill's trigger.

When to invoke it: Use when asked to map a user/customer journey, show the experience end-to-end, or find friction and drop-off points. Produces a ready-to-render Mermaid journey diagram (renders live, exportable as PNG/SVG) plus the friction points and opportunities.

Who uses this skill

The User Journey Map Claude Code skill is built for product managers, product designers, and cross-functional teams planning, shipping, and measuring product features. It's part of ClaudSkills (also referred to as Claude Skills or Claude Code Skills) — the open community-curated registry of 150,000+ SKILL.md files for Anthropic's Claude Code agent and the wider Claude ecosystem (Claude API, Claude Agent SDK).
