Component kinds are the cosmetic categories on a Node (icon + color + kind-affinity ranking). The taxonomy is closed and exhaustive (CONTEXT.md "Component kind"; [ADR-0018](../../../docs/adr/0018-nodekind-expanded-taxonomy-stays-cosmetic.md)) — every kind appears in eight lockstep places, kept honest by Record<NodeKind, …> types and a service-layer parity guard. Miss one and pnpm check fails; miss the migration and the test suite fails.
