In routing MIPs, the per-node degree and continuity constraints — leave the depot once, return once, and keep in-degree equal to out-degree at every station — are each individually satisfiable by a solution that is globally disconnected. The solver is free to hand you one depot-to-depot path plus one or more closed loops that sit entirely among the stations and never touch the depot. Every node in such a loop still has in-degree = out-degree = 1, so the degree constraints are satisfied, yet no real vehicle could ever drive that loop because nothing connects it to the depot.
